Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A nursing opportunity is available in a stepdown care setting in Irvine, CA, on a contract basis. This role requires proficiency with tracheostomies and ventilators, along with flexibility to work weekends. Preference is given to candidates who can commit to a full schedule through the end of January and the first week of February. Primary Responsibilities: Provide skilled nursing care in a stepdown unit, focusing on patients with complex respiratory needs Efficiently manage tracheostomies and ventilator support Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care Maintain compliance with all facility policies and clinical protocols Qualifications and Requirements: Valid RN license with stepdown unit experience Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP as required Up-to-date immunizations or formal declination for MMR and Varicella vaccines Negative TB test results Availability to work weekends and full schedule availability through specified dates Completion of mandatory compliance profile within two weeks of start date, including drug and background screening Schedule: Weekend availability is required Full scheduling preferred through the end of January and early February This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute specialized nursing skills within a supportive team environment.
