Meruelo Group LLC is a privately held company providing strategic consulting and business support services to a diversified group of client companies across a wide range of industries including Construction and Engineering, Hospitality and Gaming, Television, Radio, Real Estate, Food Services, Financial Services, and Private Equity.Meruelo Group is hiring a Sr. IT Support Technician in our Downey, CA office.The Sr. IT Support Technician is critical to our ability to maintain business operations by efficiently delivering new technology, timely prioritizing and responding to break/fix requests for both local and remote team members, and troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WLAN performance issues.This role requires an in-depth knowledge of Windows OS, iOS, VoIP, IT Service Management, office and engineering applications as well as a passion for providing outstanding customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned):Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for end-user computing devices, including PC, laptops, CADD workstations, tablets and smart phones;Provide troubleshooting and smart-hands support for company LAN and WLAN equipment;Log, respond to and update all activities relative to incident and service requests in the company IT Service Management system;Proactively support internal customers in all aspects to problem resolution, keeping the customer informed and updated throughout the life of the incident;Coordinate with IT Asset Manager and other IT Team Members to maintain adequate inventory levels and assist with recommending, evaluating and configuring equipment standards;Ensure company systems are adequately patched and maintained to ensure security and high-availability of IT systems; andMentor and coach junior IT Team Members.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate knowledge, skill, and/or experience in each of the following.Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience with 2 years of work experience substituted for each year of education.6years of industry experience in Information Technology Level 1 or 2 technical support;Expertise with Windows 10, iOS, Office 2016 and MS 365;One or more industry certifications, to include CompTIA A , Network , Security, or MCDST / MS365 MCA;A self-starter with a passion for solving problems, delivering outstanding customer service, and an innate curiosity for new technology solutions; andExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
