Position Summary:

This Supply Planner position is responsible for planning from both a system and business process perspective. The primary focus is to ensure consistent and proper inventory levels at all locations, having the right product in the right place at the right time. This includes establishing and maintaining the production master schedule for production facilities in order to meet all actual production and demand requirements. Additionally the supply planner will maintain proper inventory to fulfill demand requirements, at a branch and SKU level. This may include purchasing full goods and/or performing branch replenishment activities. This position will be cross-trained in order to perform the duties of procuring, producing, and deploying full goods.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Achieve Best in Class out of stock levels
  • Maintain proper full goods inventory levels for assigned area/locations utilizing SAP Planning Modules
  • Create replenishment loads (purchased or DRP) that are optimized to minimize logistical costs
  • Lead daily conversion calls that include all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate cross functionally with the Demand Planning team, sales teams and operations teams to support the rollout of new product innovation, promotional packaging, and holiday inventory planning on purchased products
  • Participate in the review of inventory levels and warehouse capacity, initiate and coordinate necessary product movements to prevent out of stocks and out of date issues as well as overstock/warehouse capacity issues
  • Work with Demand Planning team on SAP material set-ups and sourcing changes for purchased products
  • Report on close dated inventory and work to reduce Breakage Damage and Loss (BDL) due to product age
  • Collaborate with the Demand Planning and Commercialization teams to improve the Business Unit's Uniform Forecasting Process. Participate in SKU management analysis to help identify those items that are underperforming
  • Participate in weekly collaboration conference calls (SIP meetings) to communicate key product information across the business unit
  • Maintain PP and MRP profiles to ensure the integrity of the SAP Production and Capacity Modules are fully utilized for Purchased products
  • Maintain SAP coverage profiles for each sales facility within assigned area
  • Maintain SAP system parameters for purchased and produced full goods
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Planning experience in a Food or Beverage manufacturing environment
  • APICS or other forecasting Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Previous Supervisory Experience

Position Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain planning or Production/Manufacturing
  • This position requires foresight, objectivity, strategic planning and analytical skills.
  • Innovation, risk taking, self-management and prioritization skills are essential
  • Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously
  • Strong influence and facilitation skills
  • Must have strong analytical skills and have the ability to work with Mathematical concepts
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) across all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record in leading change management
  • Background knowledge of SAP
  • Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office applications)
  • Must pass post-offer background check and drug test
