Description: Under general supervision & in accordance w/ established policies & procedures, type treatment plans by abstracting medical data from a variety of patient assessment documents. Medical terminology required. Essential Functions: * Medical Transcription: Type patient treatment plans & other patient care documents applying correct medical & pharmaceutical terminology* Read patient assessment documents & provider progress notes & abstract medical information for inclusion on the treatment plan* Edit typed reports for completeness & accuracy of spelling, correct use of medical terminology, English grammar & punctuation* Submit treatment plans to proper disciplines for review & signature* Administrative & Other: Assume other activities & responsibilities from time to time as directed Pay Grade: 13 Basic Qualifications: * Typing Speed 25 WPM. Typing must be current within one (1) year. Please contact Human Resources for testing. Notes: * This is a temporary position for approximately three (3) months.* This is an on-call position, days and hours may vary.
