REMOTE Established (25 Years) Premier Firm Seeking Employment Law
Partner for School District Defense in California (REMOTE) An
established firm based in California with over 25 years in practice
is seeking an Employment Law Partner with 8 years of school
district defense experience to join their team remotely (only 10%
onsite). This Attorney will have a well-established employment
litigation defense background with a focus on representing school
districts in employment-related matters, ensuring compliance with
state and federal education regulations while providing strategic
counsel to district leadership. Offer: Competitive salary
($230,000-$300,000) with quarterly bonus opportunities Billable
requirement: 150 hours per month Unlimited Paid Time Off (UPTO) for
attorneys 70 credit hours annually for vacation (for eligible

defense experience with an emphasis on school district defense
Civil jury trial or court trial experience preferred (1st or 2nd
chair) Public entity defense experience a plus Exclusive defense
background Juris Doctorate (JD) and active California Bar
membership in good standing Superior research, analytical, and
negotiation skills Excellent written and oral communication
Commitment to proactive case management Responsibilities: Defending
school districts in employment-related lawsuits, including wrongful
termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims
Handling disputes before agencies such as the EEOC, state education
departments, and labor boards Managing discovery, motion practice,
and settlement negotiations with a focus on public sector
employment regulations and education law Advising school boards,
superintendents, and HR leaders on Title IX, ADA, FMLA, and
state-specific education regulations Developing strategies to
mitigate risks in labor disputes, employee discipline, hiring
practices, and contract negotiations Advising on teacher tenure,
union relations, and collective bargaining agreements Drafting and
reviewing employment policies, teacher and staff contracts, and
compliance documents in line with state and federal laws Conducting
training workshops for school district leadership and HR on
compliance, anti-discrimination, sexual harassment prevention, and
union rules Providing strategic counsel and proactive case
management to reduce litigation exposure Benefits - For this
