Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is needed for an engaging contract opportunity in Chula Vista, CA. This role is ideal for an RN with strong circulating skills and specialized expertise in orthopedic, neurology, and robotic surgical procedures. The position offers a dynamic work environment where advanced surgical nursing skills can be applied and further developed. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive circulating nursing care for patients undergoing orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgeries. Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment. Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring all protocols and safety standards are met. Respond promptly to on-call duties with a 30-minute response time as required. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation throughout the surgical process. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current RN license with certification or experience in Operating Room nursing. Strong circulating skills preferred. Proven experience in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgical settings. Ability to respond effectively on-call during weekdays and weekends. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities. Schedule: Start time: 0630 hours. On-call requirement: 16 hours on weekends and 24 hours on weekdays within a 4-week period. Weekend on-call duties are in addition to regular weekend shifts. Scheduled two shifts every other weekend.
