Job Description:

to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**PDS Defense,
Incis seeking a Network Engineer 3, in San Diego, CA.Pay Rate:
$120Basic Qualifications for Principal Network-Electronics
Engineer:Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering,
or related discipline with 5 years of experience; OR 3 years of
relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree OR 0 years of
experience with a STEM PhD degree.Expertise in network design,
architecture, specifications, and equipment selection.Understanding
of IP4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and
protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.Understanding of network
device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco
IOS/IOS-XE).Understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP
quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast.Familiar with network
management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS.Ability
to operate with considerable independence, and to
self-identify/pursue long-term interests.Ability to communicate
well, including proficiency with MS Office tools, including
PowerPoint and Visio.DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec ,
CASP, CISSP, or equivalent.On-site presence at San Diego Spectrum
Center at least 50%.Ability to travel 10% of the time.Must be a US
Citizen and must have or be able to obtain a Full Secret clearance
before you start.Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal
Network-Electronics Engineer:Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in
science, engineering, or related discipline with 9 years of
experience; OR 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS)
degree OR a minimum of 4 years of experience with a STEM PhD
degree.Expertise in network design, architecture, specifications,
and equipment selection.Understanding of IP4 and IPv6 network
design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF,
and EIGRP.Understanding of network device configuration and
troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE).Understanding of
advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs,
and multicast.Familiar with network management protocols, like
SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS.Ability to operate with
considerable independence, and to self-identify/pursue long-term

DOD Secret Clearance.A professional certification specific to the
networking industry, like a CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.Familiar
with network management applications, like Splunk, Firepower
Management Center (FMC), and/or Cisco ISE.Exposure to the Risk
Management Framework, associated security controls, and
STIGs.Familiar with Windows, Linux, and VMWare configuration and
troubleshooting.Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military
COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures.Experience with
tactical/military radio networks, like Common Data Link (CDL) and
ANW2.Experience with (MIL) SATCOM equipment and services.Experience
with Cisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTC.Experience with
Cisco Modelling Labs (CML) or Virtual Internet Routing Lab
