A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Three or more years of comprehensive, directly related, and progressive educational leadership and/or administrative experience, including three years of professional development experience in the field of instruction for Comprehensive Health Education. Five or more years of teaching and or leadership in Health Education in an educational setting. Education: Equivalent to a master's degree in education, including an emphasis or specialized training in the area of assignment, from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. A degree in Health Education, single subject credential in science, or related field and/or certification as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) is required.
