This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the Downey, California region.What you get to do every single day- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals- Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities- Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual Requirements - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued - CPA/MBA preferred - Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred - Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills - Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds - Vow to meet business deadlines - Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired - Deep understanding of Tax Planning Strategies - Command of US GAAP - Bank reconciliations experience - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field For confidential consideration, please apply directly with your resume or call Allysa Wilkes at (310) 719-1400.
